Photography.
I seek within the ephemeral exoticism of
photographs, a meaning unapparent within the oxymoronic obscurity of the
indelible, all-too familiar literature I study.
I seek to capture, through this medium,
transparency. Hoping the untainted, pure glass lens will filter the world's
flaws, melt away the gloss of it's superficialities and capture a world more
understandable, more knowable.
Photographs are transient, printed
memories - easily forgotten or faded with time. If a single photo represents a
single memory, an album constitutes a printed human mind. In that case, my mind
lies on a rotting mahogany bookcase... I need never wonder where I lost it.
